Susan Cain doesn't promote introversion as being better than extroversion...she simply makes the case that the unique perspectives and skills of introverts are often overlooked and undervalued in our culture.  She also presents studies showing that many popular business practices (group brainstorming sessions, team activites, open office spaces) actually stifle the productivity of introverts.  This is an eye-opening book with much to offer anyone who knows (or is!) an introvert.

Frontier House was a very entertaining DVD to watch.  It is about three modern-day families tring to survive in 1883 Montana.  The project took place over five months and started in May.  The families got two weeks of intense training to get themselves ready.  All three families were in agreement that they had never worked so hard in their lives and that were never enough hours in the day.  I keep wondering how I would have held up if I had been picked for the project.  Doing my daily chores in 1883 style clothes would have been more than cumbersome!
