Reduction in hours and services for 2014

As a result of the failure to pass a mill ley increase in the November 2013 election, The Grand County Library District will be reducing its library hours and services.

All Grand County library branches will be closed Saturday, Jan. 4 and Sunday, Jan 5. On Monday, Jan. 6 the new operating hours for all branches will go into effect.

Affected services:

Effective Immediately: Cardholders will be limited to a total of 20 checkouts and 10 holds at a time.

Effective Dec 23: The following services will no longer be offered: after-school programs, adult programs, and exam proctoring.

Effective Dec. 27: All remote drop boxes (Winter Park Post Office, Safeway and City Market) will be removed after Dec. 27. 

January 2014: There will be
fewer  public computers available and fewer phones lines in each branch. Wireless internet access will still be offered at all branches, as will pre-school story hours.
