Artists' books are visual ADVENTURES
An Exhibition of Small Books by Suzie Royce Cruse
Suzie says of her work, "I like to collect things I can recycle or things that can be made into something else. I usually think twice or three times before I throw something in the trash. I enjoy putting things together that don't exactly 'match.' This series of minature box books came to me through lyrics to some of my favorite songs. My first 'visual poetry' piece was THE SPARROW. On a whim, I submitted to a gallery show in Bend, Oregon and won the juror's choice award."
