Introducing Libby, the easiest way to download a book
Libby is a game-changer for those looking for a simple and easy way to access the library’s digital collections. It is a simple, easy-to-use, free App (just search for “Libby” in the Apple Store, on Google Play, or in the Microsoft Store).
Once you download the App, you are only four steps from your next favorite book:
1.) Find my library: Search by zip code for most accurate results. The Grand County Libraries are part of a Western Slope Library consortium called “The Marmot Library Network.”
2.) Add your library card number to sign in. Select “All Other Libraries” instead of “CMC (Colorado Mountain College)”. Then enter your 14-digit library card with no spaces.
3.) Search for the book you want and check it out, or even read a sample to make sure it is something you want to borrow.
4.) Click “Borrow” if the book is available now. Then the book is added to “Your Shelf” and you can start reading. Otherwise, place a hold and it will be added to your shelf when it becomes available.
Libby has 17,000 titles available to Grand County library cardholders, and new titles are added every day. Best of all, it is absolutely free. And you can do it any time, day or night.
