The world’s finest cinema brought to you by your library

New! Streaming Video Service, Kanopy, with over 30,000 films

Grand County Library card holders can access the popular on-demand film streaming service Kanopy starting January 1st.

Providing “thoughtful entertainment,” Kanopy users will feast on a wide variety of unique films including documentaries by award-winning filmmakers, many BBC specials, as well as indie hits.

Films can be streamed from any computer, television, mobile device or platform including AppleTV, Chromecast and Roku.

“We are excited to be offering a free streaming video option to our cardholders who may not have Cable TV, or may like to have lots of alternatives to the mainstream media. A patron suggested Kanopy to us, and we were impressed with the depth of what it offers as well as the look of the site and the ease of use,” said Anna Szczepanski, GCLD’s director of library resources and technology.

If binge-watching is your thing, Grand County library card holders can stream up to 30 films per month. Try it in 2018 at https://gcld.kanopystreaming.com
