NOOK HD / Tablet / Color - Download an eBook 

What you need

  • NOOK HD / Tablet / Color
  • Wireless connection
  • Barnes & Noble Account
  • OverDrive Media Console app
  • Adobe ID
  • Library card

How it works

  • Download the free OverDrive Media Console app from the App Store (a Barnes & Noble account is required to download apps).
  • Open the OverDrive Media Console app.
  • If you haven't yet authorized your NOOK with an Adobe ID, do so now under   (top right).
  • Click on Get Books or   (top right) and Add a Library. Enter Grand County Library District or your zip to find our digital library (Marmot Library Network).
  • Select Marmot Library Network.
  • Sign in to OverDrive with your library card number (to see OverDrive Advantage titles).
  • Find an EPUB book, select Borrow > Download (Select one format) > check EPUB eBook > Confirm & Download.
  • You will find your eBook in the OverDrive Media Console app in the Bookshelf under    (top right).

Return your book

  • Open the OverDrive Media Console app.
  • Go to the bookshelf.
  • Tap the + sign next to the book you want to return.
  • Tap Return/Delete.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

NOOK HD / Tablet / Color - Download an eAudiobook 

What you need

  • Nook HD / Tablet / Color
  • Wireless connection
  • Barnes & Noble Account
  • OverDrive Media Console app
  • Library card

How it works

  • Download the free OverDrive Media Console app from the App Store (a Barnes & Noble account is required to download apps).
  • Open the OverDrive Media Console app.
  • Click on Get Books or (top right) and Add a Library. Enter Grand County Library District or your zip to find our digital library (Marmot Library Network).
  • Select Marmot Library Network.
  • Sign in to OverDrive with your library card number (to see OverDrive Advantage titles).
  • Find an MP3 audiobook, select Borrow > Download (MP3 Audiobook).
  • You will find your eAudiobook in the OverDrive Media Console app in the Bookshelf under (top right).

Return your book

  • Open the OverDrive Media Console app.
  • Go to the bookshelf.
  • Tap the + sign next to the book you want to return.
  • Tap Return/Delete.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

NOOK Simple Touch - Download an eBook

What you need

  • NOOK Simple Touch 
  • Computer with internet
  • USB cable for your NOOK
  • Adobe Digital Editions software
  • Adobe ID
  • Library card

How it works

  • Download the free Adobe Digital Editions software.
  • Authorize your computer and your NOOK with an Adobe ID.
  • Browse to the marmot.lib.overdrive.com website from your computer.
  • Sign in to your account with your library card number (to see OverDrive Advantage titles).
  • Find an EPUB book, select Borrow > Download (Select one format) > check EPUB eBook > Confirm & Download.
  • Make sure to hit 'open with' Adobe Digital Editions, NOT 'save'.
  • The item will open in Adobe Digital Editions. If you haven't already authorized your computer with an Adobe ID, you will prompted to.
  • Connect your NOOK to your computer with your USB, if you haven't already done so. An icon of your NOOK will appear on the Adobe Digital Editions Library View panel.
  • Click on the eBook you just downloaded and drag it to the NOOK icon. The eBook will then transfer to your NOOK.
  • The eBook will appear in your Library

Return your book (cannot be done from device)

  • Open Adobe Digital Editions
  • Select the Library View icon (in the upper left corner). The Adobe Digital Editions library is displayed.
  • Under the Bookshelves heading, select Borrowed.
  • Click the eBook you want to return.
  • Click the Item Options arrow (in the upper left corner of the selected eBook).
  • Select Return Borrowed Item
  • Click Return
