Grand County Public Health and Grand County Rural Health Network started a Community Health Assessment in late 2011. The process took two years with the final step being the 2013 Community Health Needs Assessment and Prioritization Plan. Stakeholders and community members participated during all phases of the process and identified the top five priorities as winnable goals in Grand County over the next five years: mental health; access to health care; maternal, infant and child health (MICH); substance abuse; and health information and awareness.

They also offer author read-alikes, book discussion guides, book talks, and feature articles. The database is searchable by author, title, series, category, genre, theme, or key word (plot description).
