Introducing Shoutbomb Text Messaging

Did you know you can renew library materials and get information about your books on hold via text message? Through the Marmot Library Network, the Grand County Library District has provided a text messaging service for some time. We have recently switched to a new text messaging provider called 'Shoutbomb' that saves the district money, and offers more extensive features!

"I began devoting my time and effort to developing my skills in photography once I reached a point in my life where I was free to choose how I wanted to spend my time. That time occurred upon my retirement after fifteen years as a middle school special education teacher and ten years as a middle school assistant principal/athletic director.  My retirement lasted ten days. It was then that I started my business, Red Fleece Studios.

2016 GCLD Ballot Question

On September 6, the Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution to submit a GCLD ballot question to the voters of Grand County. The GCLD ballot question will read as follows:

"Check Out the Music" at the Fraser Valley Library and other GCLD Branches

In 2006 the Grand County Blues Society (GCBS) donated instruments, music CDs, and instructional DVDs to all 5 Grand County libraries, sparking a unique partnership and inspiring a program called, “Check Out the Music.” Through this FREE program, library patrons are able to check out guitars, keyboards, bass guitars, and drum pads- just as they would borrow any other library materials.
