2016 GCLD Ballot Question

On September 6, the Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution to submit a GCLD ballot question to the voters of Grand County. The GCLD ballot question will read as follows:

"Check Out the Music" at the Fraser Valley Library and other GCLD Branches

In 2006 the Grand County Blues Society (GCBS) donated instruments, music CDs, and instructional DVDs to all 5 Grand County libraries, sparking a unique partnership and inspiring a program called, “Check Out the Music.” Through this FREE program, library patrons are able to check out guitars, keyboards, bass guitars, and drum pads- just as they would borrow any other library materials.

Richard Koller at the Fraser Valley Library, August through September 2016

Richard currently lives in Grand Lake and is a Colorado native.  His inspiration comes from the beautiful scenery in Rocky Mountain National Park and landscape throughout Grand County.  He constructs custom frames and primarily utilizes recycled materials.  For more information, please call Joy at the Fraser Valley Library # 726-5689.

Get A Library Card

Being able to check out books for free is a fantastic reason to get a library card... but it's only one of many reasons. Did you know that you can check out DVDs, audio CDs, eBooks, audiobooks, and digital magazines too? And that's not to mention access to online learning resources like Mango Languages or Lynda.com, where you can learn an immense variety of languages and skills.

Office Services at GCLD

The Grand County Library district offers a variety of basic office services for our patrons and the public - from meeting and study rooms, to printing, faxing, and WiFi. Not all services are available at all branches, so be sure to call your local branch or visit our Office Services page to check.
