Free Computer/Workstation Use Guidelines

  • Save all critical data to a portable disk or device - all files and data are purged after each session
  • Library staff is available to help with on-site computer problems and questions
  • Library computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The Library will make reasonable efforts to have equipment in normal working
    order.
  • Free  Wi-f i access; user is subject to Wi-Fi and Internet Access policies.
  • Time limits may be established, as necessary; staff may renew time limit if no one is waiting.
  • Users' mobile devices are not allowed on the Library’s wired network.
  • Activities which disrupt the Library or its network are prohibited and may result in
    loss of privileges.
  • Costs for repair or replacement of materials or equipment damaged through misuse
    will be charged to the user responsible for the damage.
  • Computer and wireless usage may be tracked for statistical purposes.
  • Fees are charged for office services such as copying, printing, and faxing.
  • Scanning is free.

  • Users are not allowed to modify the physical equipment nor software.
  • Notebook computers, if available, are strictly for on-site use only.

  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge
  • Microsoft Office suite including Word, Powerpoint, Excel.
