How To Get a Card
- Apply in person at any of our five Grand County Library District branches.
What You Need
Full Use Card - good at all five library branches, including unlimited check-outs, unlimited holds, access to all online resources, and access to special collections.
- government issued photo ID
- and -
- valid mailing address
- and -
- proof of Colorado residence OR a current Colorado library card
Limited Use Card - maximum of five items checked out at a time and five active holds on the account. Limited Use Cards exclude special collections but include all online resources and collections.

- and phone number
Digital Only Access (temporary) - for a 3 month temporary library card that allows access to digital and online resources only, sign up using Self Registration on our online catalog.
One4Fun Card - for children 17 and under. Children 12 and under may check out a maximum of 1 book at a time and gain access to online resources. Children 13-17 may check out up to 1 item (including materials other than books) at a time and gain access to online resources. One4Fun Cards exclude special collections.

If you've lost your card:
- Call or come in to report a lost or stolen card. You are responsible for all items checked out until we are notified. Replacement cards cost $2.
