Mobile Printing with PrinterOn

Instructions for computers, Apple devices, Android devices, and email

All Grand County Library District branches have the ability to print from mobile devices.

Print from a laptop or home computer:

1. Begin by visiting the Print Spot website for your library from the Mobile Printing Locations list at the top of this page.

2. Select from the printer options available and enter your email address (your email address will be used to release your print at the library).

3. Browse your computer to find and select the file you wish to print.

4. Select the green 'printer' icon to process your request. (Note: a 'job reference' number will be provided, but you can ignore it - you only need your email address used to process the request when retrieving your print job in the library).

5At your library branch: enter your email address at the print release station, or have staff assist you to release your print job.

6. Payment will be required at this time.


Print from an Apple device (iPad, iPhone):

1. First download the PrinterOn App from the app store.

2. Open the PrinterOn app.

3. Tap the "No Printer Selected" button and select search from the bottom menu. Search for 'GCLD [branch],' where 'branch' is the library you are printing to (Fraser Valley Library, Granby Library, Hot Sulphur Springs Library, Juniper Library, or Kremmling Library) and select the appropriate printing format at that location.

  • Alternatively, if you are physically in the branch, you can tap the "No Printer Selected" button and then the QR code button in the top right of the app to scan the QR code in branch to select the appropriate format.

4. Select 'Documents', 'Photos', or 'Web" to print. Under 'Web" you will copy and paste or enter a url to print and then click the print icon — you’ll be shown a preview of your document.

5. To select only certain pages to print with a webpage, click the icon in the upper-right corner.

6. Tap the print button.

7. Enter an email address and tap the check-mark in the upper-right corner–your printing status will appear.

8. Use the print release station in branch, or see staff at the Circulation Desk for assistance with releasing your print.

9. Payment will be required at that time.


Print from an Android device:

1. Download Android PrinterOn app from the Google Play store.

2. Open the PrinterOn app.

3. Tap ‘select a printer’ at bottom and swipe left on top menu for Search option. Search for 'GCLD [branch],' where 'branch' is the library you are printing to (Fraser Valley Library, Granby Library, Hot Sulphur Springs Library, Juniper Library, or Kremmling Library) and select the appropriate printing format at that location.

Print using email to send something directly to the mobile print system:

Email from any device directly to the black and white printer or color printer at your library. The email address for each printer is listed in the Mobile Printing Locations list at the top of this page.
